New photo zines for my shops

I decided to revamp some photo zines that I had created quite some time ago as well as create more zines from pictures that I took some time ago.

New photo zines - cut and folded. I have more to do…

I was thinking about my zines lately and wanted to get them ready for sale on my website and Etsy shops. I used to take photo adventures with my friend and by myself - driving around Northern California, finding interesting things to capture. I got around to doing a Part 2 to my Locke Zine, and design more zines for my Delta photo adventure. The towns we visited Birds Landing, Collinsville, Isleton, Ryde, Locke, and Rio Vista (the last city visited on this trip and lunch stop). We had fun visiting these small, historic cities.

Another place that I love to visit is the Bay Area: San Francisco, East Bay and Marin. My favorite beach is in the Marin Headlands at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and I visit Rodeo Beach on a regular basis. Some of my zines are about my visit to the Fort Mason Community Garden and Marin Headlands. The garden is a quite & beautiful place to walk around and get away from the City’s hustle. And at the Marin Headlands, you can go up to Battery Spencer and take in the views of the Golden Gate Bridge & San Francisco. Or you can you enjoy Golden Gate National Recreation Area with its beaches, cliff walks or historic forts.

Most of my photos were taken with my Pentax DSLR amd a technique called Through the Viewfinder where you take pictures through an old box camera’s viewfinder with all its dust on the lens with your DSLR. This a fun technique but nowadays you can take pictures like these with an app on your smartphone.

I will be creating more of zines in the future. They were fun to design.
