Well, August was lost to healing from my hand surgery and then [slowly] creating, at the beginning of September, my mini zines for the Nola “Nacular gallery show.

Between the zine making, I tried some Crayola drawings. I was inspired by Kasey Golden’s YouTube video. I discovered crayons are kind of hard to use and that you need to use smooth paper.

My next experiments is to work with color pencils for an entire drawing. I bought a set of Caran D’Ache color pencils as a present to myself. The Luminance 6901 pencils are very nice to work with. As I was drawing with small hatching and short strokes, it was very meditative.
